The Association of Investigators and Security Professionals consists of a wide range of service providers in the investigation, process serving, skip tracing, security, crowd control, debt collection, repossession and related fields.
For approximately 50 years the AISP has provided valuable support to members through networking, professional development, and as an advocate with the regulatory authorities.
AIM 1
To provide leadership, support and information to our members to assist them to conduct their business efficiently and to always remain within the legal constraints imposed upon them by the State and Commonwealth.
AIM 2
To provide a national network of members who meet the professional standards of our industry and abide by our own Code of Ethics so that enquiries from prospective clients can be referred to our membership with the confidence that the job will be conducted in a professional and ethical manner and with integrity.
AIM 3
To ensure that the members of this Association of Investigators and Security Professionals execute their duties in a prompt and diligent manner and provide a service of professional quality to the community.
Upon being duly certified as a member of the Association of Investigators & Security Professionals accept the following Code of Ethics
- To conduct myself in my profession with honesty, sincerity, integrity, fidelity, morality and good conscience in all my dealings with clients.
- To preserve forever my client’s confidence under any and all circumstances, except where my client’s interest is contrary to civil law.
- To conduct all my investigations and operations within the bounds of legality, privacy and professional ethics.
- To retain in the strictest confidence every facet of my clients’ interest from inquiries by third parties, especially in matters involving notoriety or publicity.
- To co-operate with all recognised law enforcement and Government agencies in matters within the realms of their jurisdiction.
- To explain to the full satisfaction of my clients, all fees and charges in their cases and to render full and factual reports.
- To counsel my clients against any illegal or unethical course of conduct or action.
- To protect my own professional reputation and that of my fellow members and professional associates.
- To ensure that all of my/our employees adhere to this Code of Ethics.
- That I will not, at any time, give any interview to the press, radio or television stations, in any way pertaining to the affairs of the Association without first obtaining the express written permission of the Executive Committee.
- That my failure to strictly observe and adhere to any of the above clauses and conditions will render me liable to expulsion from the Association.
Meet Our Committee

President
Stephen Scahill
Stephen Scahill is a recognised leader in the investigation industry with over two decades’ experience. His extensive expertise spans high‐profile and complex forensic fraud, misconduct, insurance, WorkCover and corporate investigations. With a meticulous management style and strategic insight, he consistently delivers outcomes that exceed conventional quality and compliance benchmarks. As President of the Association of Investigators and Security Professionals, and through his involvement with the Victorian Security Industry Advisory Council, Stephen is at the forefront of shaping progressive industry standards and best practices.

Vice President Security
Robin Stenzel
Robin Stenzel is a seasoned professional with more than 25 years’ experience in both physical and electronic security. As a dynamic leader and operator of several security companies, he advocates for the critical role the security industry plays in supporting Australia’s economic success. Robin champions industry‐driven improvements and is dedicated to fostering a collaborative culture where progress is achieved through mutual support. His forward‐thinking approach was exemplified in 2018 when he introduced a four‐day workweek at a trade service response company.

Vice President Investigations
Lisa Carse
Lisa Carse brings over 18 years’ experience in the investigation industry, complemented by a background in the legal sector. As Director of CHS Investigations and the current Vice President, Investigations for the Association of Investigators and Security Professionals, she works closely with her peers and leadership to uphold and advance best practice standards. Lisa has been involved in cases ranging from institutional abuse and workers’ compensation claims to motor vehicle accidents and corporate investigations, establishing herself as a trusted authority in the field.

Secretary
Simon Armstrong
Dr Simon Armstrong is a seasoned private investigator and qualified osteopath with extensive expertise in factual investigations and government-related cases. Since joining the AISP Committee in 2019 and assuming the role of Secretary in 2021, he has demonstrated strong leadership and dedication. Specialising in drone surveillance operations and Technical Surveillance Counter-Measures (TSCM) – including bug sweeping – Dr Armstrong employs advanced investigative techniques and a meticulous approach to ensure security and uncover the truth.

Treasurer
Paul Hart
Paul Hart is a dedicated professional with over 35 years’ experience in the security, risk and education sectors. His passion for both the security and investigation industries is reflected in his active involvement on the AISP committee. In 2015, he established ASRM, a company offering a broad range of services including compliance, investigations, risk management and analysis, security manpower (both armed and unarmed), human resources, and education and training. He also owns Registered Training Organisations that serve domestic and international students across five states and four continents, and is committed to helping members upskill their qualifications.

Committee Member
Elizabeth Wilde
Elizabeth Wilde is a veteran private investigator who has been involved in numerous high‐profile criminal and civil cases in Melbourne. As a life member of the Association of Investigators and Security Professionals, she has held roles including Vice President and Secretary before her current position as a Committee Member. Her business, Black Widow Investigations, provides comprehensive investigative services across a broad range of areas.
